Mobvoi Introduced Ticwatch 2, Powered By Android

Mobvoi announced the launched of their 2nd-gen smartwatch, the Mobvoi Ticwatch 2. The original version of this watch drew attention due to the unique features and AI-driven OS. One of the most interesting things was the implementation of a ‘tickle strip’ which allowed you to navigate the UI by moving your finger alongside the edges of the watch instead of having to use the display. The Ticwatch 2 claims to be the most interactive smartwatch ever released. It gives users more ways to use the watch in the hopes that they’ll use it for more than just staring at notifications and checking the time.

The Ticwatch 2 is jammed with technology, boasting a 1.4-inch always on AMOLED screen at a whopping resolution 400 x 400. It blends touchscreen and the Tickle strip, a touch enables users to control the watch by swiping on the bezel, much like Samsung Gear S2. In addition there is built-in GPS a dual LED optical heart rate sensor as well.

In addition to ‘Tickle’, the new Ticwatch 2 also offers voice activation, gesture control, notification hub, various fitness functions and so on. Mobvoi’s Ticwear 4.0 OS (that is Android based) is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. On top of all this, the Ticwatch 2 also out comes with a built-in speaker, which might come in handy for some of you.

The Mobvoi Ticwatch 2 will come in Charcoal, Snow, Oak and Onyx color variants, and that its standard 20mm watch band will be easily replaceable. You will be able to charge up this device wirelessly, and the watch has been designed by a Scandinavian designer called Mika Nenonen. The new Ticwatch 2 is currently on Kickstarter with a funding goal of $50,000, and it’ll begin shipping to backer by late September, says the company.
